Images are very important part w.r.t SEO of a website as they enhance the value of web content. There are several ways to optimize web images in order to make them appear on first page of for a given research.Hence the positioning of images on the web page is extremely important and here are some factors that effect the positioning of the image:
Anchor Text: Anchor text is basically a text link and is used when you link the image using some appropriate text link.
Filename: The name of the image should contain the keywords. Name the image in such a way that is easy to search.
ALT Attribute: Proper description should be given with ALT Attrtibute of the image as this text appears in those browsers that do not support the image. Instead of the image this adequate description is used. It is better to use keywords in the text and focus on accurate and consistent text.
Google Image Labeler: A tool (Google Image Labeler http://images.google.com/imagelabeler/ )that helps in categorizing your images and making them appear on the top of the search engine.
